(see the Events Page for the address)  This is my last gig for a while, because I stopped making future plans back in January, so if you are in the vicinity, this will be your last chance for a while to have a gander at me in the flesh.  I&#8217;ll be talking about <em>The Sky Took Him<\/em>, my poor orphan book which got published and then left out to dry when I had to cancel all my publicity events.  I love <em>Sky<\/em>, and I&#8217;m going to talk about how it came to be, and who knows what else, because once I get going, there&#8217;s no telling what I&#8217;ll end up expounding on.<\/p>\n<p>Last time I was at Velma Teague was in December of 2007 or January of 2008, during the Glendale Festival of Lights, most amazing display of holiday lights I&#8217;ve ever seen.  Downtown Glendale is absolutely charming at any time of year, so I&#8217;m very much looking forward to being there again, not to mention seeing the lovely Betty Sharpe and the inimitable Lesa Holstein, she of the Lesa&#8217;s Book Critiques website (www.lesasbookcritiques.blogspot.com).  <\/p>\n<p>I hope to see you there, Dear Reader.<\/p>\n<p>Addendum: For those of you who have been following the saga of Don&#8217;s Amazing Diamond-hard Kidney Stones, nothing much has happened since the last lithotripsy on April 3.  He had an X-ray last Thursday in anticipation of a doctor&#8217;s appointment on April 23.  Until then, we wait.
