{"id":208,"date":"2010-08-12T00:38:48","date_gmt":"2010-08-12T06:38:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.doniscasey.com\/?p=208"},"modified":"2010-08-12T00:38:48","modified_gmt":"2010-08-12T06:38:48","slug":"nothing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.doniscasey.com\/?p=208","title":{"rendered":"Nothing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href='http:\/\/www.doniscasey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/p1010030.jpg' title='p1010030.jpg'><img src='http:\/\/www.doniscasey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/p1010030.jpg' alt='p1010030.jpg' \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I did something today that I haven\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t done in so long that I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t remember the last time.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Since I finished proofreading the galleys of <em>Crying Blood<\/em>, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been catching up on all the life things I should have been doing over the past months, (and anyone who\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s ever written a book will empathize) but I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t.  Today the only productive things I could do\u00c2\u00a0were do more outlining on the next book or clean the bathroom sinks, and it suddenly dawned on me that the world isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t going to end if I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t do those things right this minute.<\/p>\n<p>I took myself out to lunch.  I shopped for clothes, tried on a dozen things but didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t end up buying anything.  I went to the bookstore and spent a couple of hours browsing.  It was bliss.<\/p>\n<p>I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even turn on the computer until after 4:00.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow is a very busy day, and Friday is blog day (yes, I write my blog entries for Type M 4 Murder and Fatal Foodies a day ahead of time).  Then it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s back to the new book.
