It was a long long January, my friends, but we made it through \u2013 thus far. As far as the next few years, I think it’s time to buckle up. We’re in for a rough ride. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My hubby and I did manage to get one thing accomplished in January. We finally replaced our ancient Toyota Highlander with a brand new Subaru. It’s been 20 years since we bought a new car, so things have changed, you bet. There are so many standard new features that we’re going to have to take classes to learn all the ins and outs and bells and whistles. Driving home from the dealership was a little adventure. I kept having visions of Stan and Ollie trying to figure out their Model T. As for the Highlander, we did trade it in, and much to my own surprise, I started to weep as I signed it over. My husband and the sales guy didn’t quite know how to react. That Toyota was a good car, and we bought it new with money I inherited after my mother passed. It felt to me that I was breaking a link with her by letting it go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyhow \u2013 the Subaru is nice, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
