We finally replaced our ancient Toyota Highlander with a brand new Subaru. It’s been 20 years since we bought a new car, so things have changed, you bet. There are so many standard new features that we’re going to have to take classes to learn all the ins and outs and bells and whistles. Driving home from the dealership was a little adventure. I kept having visions of Stan and Ollie trying to figure out their Model T. As for the Highlander, we did trade it in, and much to my own surprise, I started to weep as I signed it over. My husband and the sales guy didn’t quite know how to react. That Toyota was a good car, and we bought it new with money I inherited after my mother passed. It felt to me that I was breaking a link with her by letting it go.

Anyhow – the Subaru is nice, too.

Be sure and check back here on February 20 for my Tell Me Your Story guest, Penny Orloff, Penny (https://pennyorloff.com/) a former actor/dancer who had featured roles on and off Broadway and sang more than 20 Principal Soprano roles for New York City Opera. Since 2012 she has enjoyed acting in shorts, Indie, and feature films (silver-white hair and a Botox-free face are, apparently, in short supply in LA…). A professional Life Coach and Tarot reader, she is the author of “Art as Lifework, Life as Artwork,” and is currently working on her new book, “Who Would You Be If You Had Nothing to Bitch About?” Don’t miss Penny’s incredible story beginning February 20 and running until the end of the month.

It was a long long January, my friends, but we made it through – thus far.
