{"id":756,"date":"2013-03-06T13:59:17","date_gmt":"2013-03-06T20:59:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.doniscasey.com\/?p=756"},"modified":"2013-03-06T13:59:17","modified_gmt":"2013-03-06T20:59:17","slug":"tucson-festival-of-books-tina-whittle-and-even-more-stuff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.doniscasey.com\/?p=756","title":{"rendered":"Tucson Festival of Books, Tina Whittle, and Even More Stuff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s coming up soon. \u00a0This very weekend, March 9 and 10, I&#8217;m going to be, oh, so busy at the Tucson Festival of Books. \u00a0Do go if you are anywhere near Tucson, because this is quite an event. \u00a0Hundreds of authors of every ilk will be there to sign, talk, or teach. \u00a0I&#8217;m going to be doing some of each. \u00a0On Saturday the 9th at 1:00, I\u2019ll be Moderating the panel Other Cultures, Other Crimes with Hilary Davidson and Simon Wood. \u00a0I write a historical series, Hilary writes about a globe-trekking travel writer, and Simon does race car drivers, among other strange things, so this should be interesting.<\/p>\n<p>Then on Sunday the 10th, at 1:00,I\u2019m presenting a workshop on Writing Historical Mysteries. And if there is anything I know how to do, it&#8217;s write a historical mystery. My fellow Poisoned Pen Press author Tina Whittle&#8217;s latest,\u00a0<em>Blood, Ash, and Bone<\/em>, the third in the Tai Randolph\/Trey Seaver series, was just released a few days ago. \u00a0If you haven&#8217;t discovered this series yet, I recommend you do. \u00a0Tai is a unique character. Here&#8217;s what <em>Blood, Ash and Bone<\/em> is about:<\/p>\n<p><em>When Tai Randolph \u2019s ex-boyfriend shows up desperate for her help, she reluctantly takes the case.
