Eyes right, Readers, and you will see that a new book page has been added. Yes, Book Number Four in the Alafair Tucker Mystery series, The Sky Took Him, has been shipped from the publisher, and is available for purchase just in time for Christmas! Click on “About This Book” for a blurb and an excerpt, or on “Reviews” to read the STARRED REVIEW Sky received in the December 8, 2008, edition of Publishers Weekly. And if this means nothing to you, be assured that getting a PW starred review is a happy day for a writer.

The official release date for Sky is January 1, 2009, but the printer is on the ball, apparently, because here it is on my desk, right before my eyes. Any bookstore will be able to order it for you from Poisoned Pen Press, whether they have it on the shelves yet or not, and it’s available on Amazon. Or best of all, click on “Preorder”, which has actually become “Order”, under the thumbnail of the cover, and get it right from PPP itself.

There have been a couple of other additions and improvements to this site, my Dear Readers. I have added excerpts from the beginnings of all my books, including the newest one, on the “About This Book” page. I’ve also added content on the “Truth or Fiction” page (above). Truth or Fiction is where you can learn what in my books is based on reality – people, places, incidents, and what is purely made up. I’ve told some tales about The Drop Edge of Yonder. Drop Edge, which will be out shortly in trade paperback, was entirely based on a true incident.

And if you’ll look at the links at the top of the page, you’ll see an entirely new one – “Gallery”. Click on that to see photos and movies from some of my signings and trips. I’m quite excited about the Gallery. I’m adding the content myself, so it’s still a work in progress. Be patient with me.

The book launch party for The Sky Took Him will be 2:00 p.m., January 17, 2009, at Poisoned Pen Bookstore in Scottsdale, AZ. Please mark your calendars and come help me celebrate, and if you can’t, check the list of my events to see if I’ll be in your area.
