Looking for something interesting to do from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, January 18? Want to pick up some good reading? Why not go to a group book signing of Arizona authors? Boy,there are going to be some good ones there, including myself, if I may be so bold.  The event  is sponsored by the Desert Sleuths chapter of Sisters in Crime, which is a national organization for readers, writers and fans of Mystery.  That includes you, doesn’t it?  Where? We’ll be at the Arizona Historical Society Museum at Papago Park 1300 N. College Ave., Tempe, AZ 85281 COST: FREE event with paid museum admission.

Here’s the list of participants :

Anne Butler Montgomery, Betty Webb,Donis Casey, Deborah J. Ledford, Lori Hines, Lena McCoy, Carolyn Hughey, Pascal Marco, and Virginia Nosky.

I have added a few other upcoming events to my events page since last we spoke.  I’ll be in the Tucson area coming up on Feb 9, doing a book talk and signing at Clues Unlimited bookstore, along with Betty Webb.  Then in March, I’m going to be a busy little bee at the Tucson Festival of Books, moderating a panel on Other Cultures, Other Crimes, giving a historical mystery writing workshop, and appearing on a Cozy Crimes panel.  Check out the details, including the impressive folks I’ll be on the panels with, by clicking on the Events page, above.

If you’ve never attended the Tucson Festival of Books, you’re missing a treat.  This festival is only a few years old, but already it’s about as big and prestigious as the Los Angeles Book Festival, with signings, workshops, and appearances by hundreds of authors (seriously – over 300 last year), including the biggest names in the industry.  You can get an idea of the scope of the festival by looking at their web page.  Here’s the link : http://tucsonfestivalofbooks.org/
